The Triple Collocated BYU IRSO OceanSat Scatterometer-2, Tropical Rain Measuring Mission, and European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts Dataset (OTED)

(**In review**) Fogg, B. J., & Long, D. G. (2025). An OSCAT Simultaneous Wind/Rain Geophysical Model Function. IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing

The triple collocated BYU IRSO OceanSat Scatterometer-2 (OSCAT), Tropical Rain Measuring Mission (TRMM), and European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) Dataset (OTED) contains OSCAT sigma0, TRMM Percipitation Radar near-surface rain rate, and ECMWF near-surface vector winds from 2011-2014. It is available in MAT, CSV, or DAT. Each type is packaged in seperate zip archives. The OTED is formed by 6 arrays that contain data used to develop and validate the BYU OSCAT SWR GMF. Each array is N X M_i size, where N is the number of collocated measurements and M_i is the number of data types in that array. The A array contains the primary data needed to create the GMF while arrays B through F contain supplementary information that may be useful in a variety of geophysical studies. The accompanying documentation explains more about the purpose and contents on the OTED.
